Alicia’s Homemade®, LLC (“Alicia’s Homemade®,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our Users. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our practices concerning information collected from or about Users in connection with this website located at (“the Site”).  For purposes of this Policy, “Users” refers to individuals who use our website.

Our Site is used to facilitate the sale and shipment of our products, as well as a mechanism for sharing product recipes and other interactive features.

This Policy explains how Alicia’s Homemade® collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with this Site, and your rights in relation to that information. By using this Site, you are agreeing to the terms of this Policy and consenting to the collection, use, and sharing of information in a manner consistent with this Policy.

What Personal and Other Information we collect about you

Alicia’s Homemade® collects both “Personal Information” and “Other Information” about Users of the Site.  For purposes of this Policy, Personal Information is information such as a full name or email address that Alicia’s Homemade® can use alone, or in combination with other information possessed by Alicia’s Homemade®, to identify a specific person.  By contrast, Other Information is information that is not Personal Information.  When we combine Other Information with Personal Information, we treat all of the combined information as Personal Information.

We collect the following types of Personal Information and Other Information:

Personal Information.  You can visit the Site without submitting any Personal Information.  However, if you join our mailing list or order products from us, we may collect Personal Information including your name, address, phone number, and email address.  We also may collect Personal Information from you when you contact us directly by email or phone.

Web log data.  When you use the Site, Alicia’s Homemade® automatically receives and records certain information from your computer (or other device) and your browser.  This includes such data as your IP address and domain name, the pages you visit on the Site, the date and time of your visit, the files that you download, the URLs from the websites you visit before and after navigating to the Site, your software and hardware attributes, your general geographic location (e.g., your city, state, or metropolitan region), and certain cookie information (see below).  To obtain such information, we will use web logs or applications that recognize your computer and gather information about its activity on the Site.

Cookies.  We also may use cookies in connection with the Site.  Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer by your web browser.  A cookie allows the Site to recognize whether you have visited before and will store User preferences and other information.  For example, cookies can be used to collect information about your use of the Site during your current session and over time (including the pages you view), your computer’s operating system and browser type, your IP address, your general geographic location, the website that you visited before the Site, and the link you used to leave the Site.  If you are concerned about having cookies on your computer, tablet, mobile phone, or other computing device, you can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being set, allowing you to decide whether to accept it.  You can also delete cookies from your computer or other device.  However, if you choose to block or delete cookies, certain features of the Site will not operate correctly.

Web beacons.  The Site or the emails that you receive from Alicia’s Homemade® may use an application known as a “web beacon” (also known as a “pixel tag” or “clear gif”).  A web beacon is an electronic file that usually consists of a single-pixel image.  It can be embedded in a web page or in an email to transmit information, which could include Personal Information.  For example, it allows us to determine whether a User has opened a particular email.

Third-party online tracking and behavioral advertising.  We also partner with certain third parties to collect, analyze, and use some of the Personal Information and Other Information described in this section.  For example, we may allow third parties to set cookies or use web beacons on the Site or in email communications from Alicia’s Homemade®.  This information may be used for a variety of purposes, including online behavioral advertising, as discussed below (see the section entitled “How we share Personal and Other Information with third parties”).

How we use the Personal and Other Information that we collect

We use the Other Information that we collect for such purposes as:  counting and recognizing Users of the Site; analyzing how Users use the Site and various features of the Site; improving the Site and enhancing Users’ experiences with the Site; creating new products and services or improving our existing products and services; enabling additional website analytics and research concerning the Site; and managing our business.  Alicia’s Homemade® may link Other Information gathered using cookies and web beacons with Personal Information.  In that event, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information.

How we share Personal and Other Information with Third Parties

We share your Personal Information and Other Information with other parties for a variety of purposes, as described below.

Analytics and online behavioral advertising.  We partner with certain third parties to collect the Other Information discussed above and to engage in analysis, auditing, research, and reporting.  These third parties may use web logs or web beacons, and they may set and access cookies on your computer or other device.  In particular, we may partner with Google Analytics to help collect and analyze certain information on the Site for the purposes discussed above.  You may opt out of the use of cookies by Google Analytics here

The Site also may enable third-party tracking mechanisms to collect your Other Information for use in online behavioral advertising.  For example, third parties may use the fact that you visited the Site to target online ads for Alicia’s Homemade® products to you on non-Alicia’s Homemade® websites.  In addition, our third-party advertising networks might use information about your use of the Site to help target non-Alicia’s Homemade® advertisements based on your online behavior in general.  For information about online behavioral advertising practices, including privacy and confidentiality, visit the Network Advertising Initiative website or the Digital Advertising Alliance website.

The use of online tracking mechanisms by third parties is subject to those third parties’ own privacy policies, and not this Policy.  If you prefer to prevent third parties from setting and accessing cookies on your computer, you may set your browser to block cookies.  Additionally, you may remove yourself from the targeted advertising of companies within the Network Advertising Initiative by opting out here, or of companies participating in the Digital Advertising Alliance program by opting out here.  Although the Site currently does not respond to “do not track” browser headers, you can limit tracking through these third-party programs and by taking the other steps discussed above.

Third-party service providers and business partners.  Alicia’s Homemade® uses other third-party service providers to help us manage and improve the Site.  These service providers may collect and/or use your Personal or Other Information to assist us in achieving the purposes discussed above in the section entitled “How we use the Personal and Other Information that we collect.”  For example, we use third parties to help us target and implement our email communications and direct mailings, and to process your payment transactions on behalf of Alicia’s Homemade®.  We also may share your Personal or Other Information with other third parties when necessary to fulfill your requests for services; to complete a transaction that you initiate; to meet the terms of any agreement that you have with us or our partners; or to manage our business.

Your direct sharing of Personal Information through third-party websites and services.  The Site enables you to share Personal Information directly with websites or online services operated by third parties.  For example, the Site contain links to third-party websites that incorporate comment and social media features, as well as a Facebook “like” button and a Twitter “follow” button.  If you choose to use these features, you may disclose your Personal Information not just to those third-party websites and services, but also to their Users and the public more generally.  Because these third-party websites and services are not operated by Alicia’s Homemade®, we are not responsible for the content or practices of those websites or services.  The collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal and Other Information will be subject to the privacy policies of the third-party websites or services, and not this Policy.

Your direct sharing of information with other Users of the Site.  The Site may enable you to share Personal Information and Other Information with other Users of the Site.  For example, Alicia’s Homemade® may allow Users to post on a community message board or post comments on the Site.  Please ensure when using these features that you do not submit any Personal or Other Information that you do not want to be seen, collected, or used by other Users.

Third-party plugins.  The Site integrates certain third-party plug-ins (such as a Facebook “like” button and Twitter “follow” button).  Even if you do not click on these plug-ins, they may collect information about you, such as your IP address and the pages that you view.  They also may set and/or access a cookie.  These plugins are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing them.

Legal purposes.  We also may use or share your Personal or Other Information with third parties when we believe, in our sole discretion, that doing so is necessary:

  • to comply with applicable law or a court order, subpoena, or other legal process;

  • to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violations of our terms and conditions, or situations involving threats to our property or the property or physical safety of any person or third party;

  • to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or

  • to facilitate investments in, or the financing, securitization, insuring, sale, assignment, bankruptcy, or other disposal of all or part of our business or assets. In the event of such a transaction, we reserve the right to disclose or transfer all of the information described in this Policy as part of our business assets, or to disclose such information to investors or other parties participating in the transaction. Such purchasers and other parties, including investors, will be entitled to use and disclose information to the same extent as Alicia’s Homemade under the terms of this Policy.
